The 'N' word

How do you say no to somebody? How do you say 'uh uh, no way am i doing THAT for you' without pissing them off or hurting them. I don't know why but I always end up doing extra than what I'm being paid for. And the pay isn't even THAT great. It's just so hard to say no without risking screwing up the relationship you have with the other person. Sure, sometimes you can squeeze your way out of it, or twist things around so that they THINK you are still doing it for them, but you're actually figuring out an escape route for yourself. But most of the time, I end up just doing it anyway. Ah well.

We did have a rather good class this evening. Bruce Broughton came as our guest speaker and he was pretty good. Very informative, kept it at a comfortable pace. And his music is....phew. Some of it sounds crazy! Notes flying everywhere! He played us different kinds of music that he has written and they were all pretty darn amazing! And I just realized that he was the composer of one of my favourite cartoon themes, Tiny Toons! Heh. Anyway, go check out his site. :) Bruce Broughton

Ramblings...

I don't know what triggered it...but out of the blue, I just felt like throwing out all the crap I have in my head. So, here I am. At 4 in the morning. Writing my very first blog. I seriously wonder how long I'll be able to keep this up, seeing as I hardly ever managed to even keep a diary or a journal. Oh well. At the moment, I just really miss my two puppies. Wish they'd come home soon.
